David Hine avait livré un run intéressant sue Spawn avec une certaine liberté, et McFarlane avait tenté et réussi un temps le coup d’une presque Saga du Clone réussie en tuant Al et en le remplaçant longtemps par Jim.
Dommage que même le héraut des comics indépendants ait cédé aux facilités des Big Two avec retour du héros original et multiplication extrême des titres jumeaux.
Je suis à ce titre surpris que Spawn, King Spawn, Gunslinger et Scorched perdurent. Ça se vend vraiment bien ?

Run que Todd a un peu mis sous le tapis.
Et en tuant Al pour Jim , McFarlane préparait son retour d’homme triomphal et triomphant en mode " Ha Ha Ha, j’ai écrit sous pseudo , vous avez rien vu, rien remarqué. Vous m’avez révéré comme du Vertigo par moment, sans savoir que c’était… MOI. M.O.I ! "
Dommage, il a tout donné à ce moment-là et l’ego n’a pas su passer la main. Il est son pire ennemi. C’est parfois triste.
Aucune idée, faudrait demander à Thierry Mornet. Les chiffres US, j’avoue que je n’ai jamais su où aller les chercher ( pas faute d’être bilingue pourtant…je lis la VF par aisance de lecture…et pour avoir une bibli + ou - uniforme - bon, et le répétez pas mais parce que j’ai un cœur qui me fait prêter ce que je lis et tout le monde n’a pas grandi avec une mère qui avait la patience de venir me traduire les textes narratifs sur S(NES) - et qui a fini par en avoir un peu assez au bout d’un moment, viens on va te donner les bases là ).

J’avais repris avec la relance récente mais je ne suis pas resté car c’est toujours redondant.
King Spawn tente de faire un peu différemment et alterne le moyen et le faible.
@Fred_le_Mallrat nous en parle chaque mois mais je ne sais plusieurs où ni le statut du Spawnverse.

Sans devenir une excellente lecture, le récit commence à s’ouvrir sur ce qui gravite autour de l’artefact et sur le plot lié à la mort du Père de Sara.
On sent que c’est dur à accoucher. Y a des trucs sympas. On sent moins les réécritures - qui ont du être nombreuses- des premiers épisodes.

Je commence à apprécier la série. Dès que Marguerite Bennett met de côté ses voix-off, la lecture gagne en fluidité.
Depuis quelques épisodes, on comprend que la série relance un peu l’univers avec une « Sombritude » qui arrive. Sara agit à la manière de Ségolène Royale voulant être Premier Ministre face à François Bayrou, représentant Kenneth Irons.
Rien n’est parfait mais ça a son charme.
