Mais, d’ailleurs, vu la jeunesse de Forge ici et de Cyclope ailleurs, l’on pourrait presque se demander si Fall of X ne va pas mener à une réécriture du Temps (mais j’en doute).
A priori, le seul qui semble ne pas revenir, c’est Xavier.

Bon début, mais sans emballer non plus. Geoffrey Thorne lance correctement sa série, où la voix-off de Sage (un peu maladroitement amenée, au début) évoque la situation. On voit d’abord Forge, hanté par une simulation se passant mal pour les X-Men, et qui peut ensuite utiliser un dispositif lui permettant d’augmenter ses pouvoirs pour voir les « fractures » du monde, les zones et crises qui vont éclater. Il recrute ensuite Tessa, marquée par la chute de Krakoa, puis Betsy & Rachel, en couple toujours. Rachel semble cacher une baisse de pouvoirs, Betsy refuse de travailler avec Deadpool, mais une intervention au Japon, sur une créature échappée des laboratoires Essex et qui absorbe toute vie, impose à Forge d’appeler le mystérieux Tank… et Wade, bien sûr. Ils trouvent Surge, revenue ici pour aider ses compatriotes après Krakoa, et Forge « envoie » Deadpool dans la créature, qui absorbe ce qu’elle touche et absorbe ainsi son cancer, ce qui va la tuer à petit feu. Une solution brutale, mais Wade est bien payé… et Forge entend passer à la prochaine fracture.
C’est pas mal, en soi. J’aime bien l’idée d’une équipe proactive, cherchant les menaces selon les projections de Forge, dont le pouvoir de « réparer » tout ce qu’il voit endommagé ou ne fonctionnant pas est intelligemment utilisé ici. Bon, il est à nouveau très froid et renfermé, Sage est un peu trop en retrait, mais l’ensemble est en soi efficace. J’aime bien Wade disant qu’il s’agit du tie-in non-officiel du film (haha), et l’ensemble se lit… mais sans emballer, sans être vraiment prenant. Marcus To livre de jolies planches, dynamiques, mais quand même sages.
