Marvel annonce la publication de X-Men Black en octobre 2018. Contrairement aux autres titres X-Men « à thème couleur » (X-Men Blue, X-Men Gold, X-Men Red), il ne s’agit pas d’un nouveau mensuel mais d’une série de 5 one-shots centrés sur les vilains de l’univers des mutants et qui sortiront sur un rythme hebdomadaire.
