La première apparition de Daredevil dans un dessin animé a eu lieu dans un épisode de la série Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends. Il s’agit de Attack of the Arachnoid, le quatrième épisode de la saison 3, diffusé aux Etats-Unis en octobre 1983. Matt Murdock/Daredevil a la voix du prolifique Frank Welker (Fred dans Scooby-Doo, c’est lui), qui doublait aussi Iceberg dans ce cartoon.
