Fort de son succès critique sur la série Prophet, le scénariste Brandon Graham développe 8House pour l’éditeur Image Comics. Elle raconte la guerre que se livrent les huit grandes Maisons de la Magie qui se partagent l’univers.
8House est un univers typé Fantasy qui consistera en une collection de plusieurs mini-séries, notamment:
« 8House: Kiem » illustrée par Xurxo Penalta. Kiem se concentre sur un soldat qui projette son esprit dans le corps de sa jumelle pour combattre sur une lointaine planète.
« 8House: Arclight » illustrée par Marian Churchland. Arclight raconte l’histoire d’une femme de la haute découvrant que le Monstre qui s’est approprié son corps s’est aussi approprié sa vie.
« 8House: Mirror » scénarisée par Emma Rios et illustrée par Hwei Lim. « Mirror » est un Space Opera sur une Guerre Stellaire qui se joue entre des humains méprisants et des Monstres nobles.
Lors d’une interview consacrée au site Bleedingcool, le scénariste Brandon Graham a révélé que les trois premières mini-séries « Kiem », « Arclight » et « Mirror » seront suivies par deux nouvelles séries régulières:

Parmi ces mini-séries, Graham imagine 8House: Arclight en partenariat avec la dessinatrice Marian Churchland. Elle racontera l’histoire d’une femme de la haute société découvrant que le Monstre qui s’est approprié son corps s’est aussi approprié sa vie.
A noter que Marian Churchland travaille aussi sur une autre série liée au « collectif 8House »: From Under the Mountains. Aucune date de sortie n’a été communiquée pour le moment.
