Décidément, la convention d’Emerald City semble placée sous le signe du crossover.
Après les projets Lone Ranger & Green Hornet et Tarzan sur la Planète des Singes, c’est au tour du Juge Dredd d’aller jouer dans le bac à sable avec ses petits camarades : les célèbres xénomorphes d’Alien et les chasseurs de la saga Predator.
Lors d’un contrôle de routine, le Juge Dredd et la Juge psy Anderson arrêtent un scientifique fou qui conçoit ses propres xénomorphes dans son laboratoire. Arrive alors le Predator, chassant les Aliens comme les Juges sans faire de différence au sein de la Mega-Cité Une.
Ce crossover publié par Dark Horse, conçu en partenariat avec les éditeurs IDW Publishing et Rebellion, a été confié au scénariste John Layman (Chew, Mars Attack : Mars Occupies) et au dessinateur Chris Mooneyham (Five Ghosts). Précisons que ce dernier s’est déjà frotté au chasseur extraterrestre lors de la mini-série Predator de 2014.
Le premier numéro de Aliens Vs. Judge Dredd Vs. Predator sort à la fin du mois de juillet avec une couverture de Glen Fabry.
