There are some big new challenges that emerge in the first issue, in very quick and catastrophic fashion. New empires are born, new armies rise up. The Avengers are very much caught off-guard by it. To me, it’s exactly how big revolutions always occur-- seemingly overnight to the rest of the world. The Avengers and SHIELD have finally put aside their differences and are back to working together closely. But it might have come a day too late.
One thing we have tipped our hand on – keep an eye on AIM. That organization, led by the new Scientist Supreme, has been gaining in power and prominence over the last few years – and it looks like they might be ready to take that next step and become a dominant force. AIM is a group both Jonathan and I have worked on recently, so if you’ve been reading Avengers, Secret Avengers, or Jonathan’s FF run, you’ll see some very nice payoffs here.
Sur le site Comixology, l’application Marvel a mis à disposition les premières pages lettrées des nouvelles séries « All-New » dont « Avengers World #1 », « All-New Invaders #1 », « All-New X-Factor #1 », « Thunderbolts #20 » et « All-New X-Men #22 »:
I have a soft spot for writing Cap. I take advantage of every opportunity I get to do it. I like him being the guy who puts the players on the board. I like emphasizing his leadership role. Part of the fun for me was just writing a scene between him and Bruce, who is another huge favorite of mine. I’m a huge fan of what Mark Waid has done with Bruce in INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK. I like reflecting that take on Bruce. It’s a really fun one.
It was a nice opportunity to do some back-and-forth with them, rather than the Cap and Tony back-and-forth that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing. Bruce is fun because he gives you a slightly more detached outlook: Because of his history, because he’s been hunted and chased and imprisoned by the people he now works with, he’s such a great cynic to have in the room. When you talk about the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D., Bruce has this detachment from them, an innate distrust, that even when they’re working together, he’s the guy who takes the air out of the balloon.

The Avengers made a big, bold statement during « Infinity, » that Earth was an Avengers world. It falls under their jurisdiction and protection, which is a statement that a lot of folks, both good and bad, might take issue with. It’s a statement that some other voices might want to be heard on.
You’re definitely going to see some opposing viewpoints on that in this book. It’s sort of by happenstance that the Avengers are where they are. In terms of legality, it’s a bit of a post-« Civil War, » post-« Siege » Wild West again, where things that had become very structured have existed in a bit of a looser framework since those events. A desire not to interfere and not to make the same mistakes that were made with Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. has led to a looser-working framework and situations. We’re definitely going to get into the good and bad of that.
