L’éditeur Marvel Comics commence à dévoiler le sommaire de la saga Axis qui débutera en octobre. Du coté de l’Araignée, deux mini-séries de trois numéros sont déjà prévues. Elles concernent les deux super-vilains dévoilés sur la première image de Axis: Carnage et le Super-Bouffon.
C’est à la demande de Rick Remender (avec lequel il avait collaboré sur Fear Agent #27) que le scénariste Rick Spears se chargera de raconter le retour en grande forme du psychopathe Cletus Cassady et de son symbiote dans les rues de New York. Il sera aidé par le jeune dessinateur d’inspiration asiatique German Peralta.
