Comme les premier et troisième Annuels de la série Batman, le quatrième numéro sera scénarisé par James Tynion IV, proche collaborateur du scénariste régulier Scott Snyder et actuellement à l’œuvre sur le nouvel hebdomadaire Batman & Robin Eternal. Quant à la partie graphique, elle est assurée par Roge Antonio.
Attention, Spoiler ! L’histoire s’intéressera à ce que signifie le retour de Bruce Wayne après son combat mortel contre le Joker (Endgame) et à la raison qui l’a poussé à raccrocher la cape du Chevalier Noir.
