Keanu Reeves’ immortal warrior is back in an all-new comic book one-shot that expands the world of BRZRKR.
Writer Marjorie Liu (Monstress) and artist Garry Brown (The Massive) team up to deliver BRZRKR: The Bleeding Tide, Entertainment Weekly can exclusively reveal.
The story features a pirate captain following the sound of a strange heartbeat into the ocean, where she finds a box chained in irons that contains the deformed mass of the half-god eternal warrior known as B., who is drawn in the likeness of the Matrix and John Wick star.
Once awakened, « B. must jump into battle to defend the crew from an ambush at sea despite rising concerns, » an official description reads. « What is the captain after with such a dangerous bounty on her head, and more importantly, what is she hiding? »
Spoiler alert, it involves vampires.
“It’s a crazy ride working on the book with Marjorie," Brown said in a statement to EW. « I get to draw a lot of the things that I love to draw: gore, monsters, gore, pirates, and gore. »
