Il y a aussi certains auteurs qui ne changent pas tellement de crémerie lors de Rebirth. C’est le cas du scénariste Robert Venditti qui passe de Green Lantern à Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps.
Pour l’occasion, il travaillera non seulement avec l’un des artistes les plus impliqués sur la franchise depuis 10 ans - le dessinateur Ethan Van Sciver - mais il ramène aussi un de ses amis avec lequel il a collaboré sur X-O Manowar : Rafa Sandoval.
La série devrait débuter par la capitulation des Lanternes Vertes lors d’une confrontation avec le Corps de Sinestro et comment le Warworld en vient à remplacer Oa.
J’imagine que le contrat d’exclusivité chez Valiant est moins restrictif que chez les deux majors. Tant qu’il fait le travail qu’on lui a commandé.
Mais c’est une bonne question. Il faudrait vérifier.

Les trois premiers épisodes, c’est du pur bonheur : une action débridée, un Corps reconstitué, un dessin exceptionnel…
Sandoval, j’ai entendu dire qu’il fait des trucs chez Valiant, mais comme je ne suis pas ce catalogue, j’ai l’impression de ne pas avoir lu ses BD depuis des lustres. Et je le trouve super en forme. Beaucoup plus lisible que sur Catwoman, et toujours aussi bon. Les personnages sont magnifiques, les scènes de baston impressionnantes… L’énergie de Pacheco et l’élégance de Davis.
Il travaillait déjà avec Robert Venditti sur X-O Manowar. Le scénariste l’a ensuite débarqué pour bosser avec lui sur la nouvelle série Green Lantern Corps. Depuis, Sandoval a signé un contrat d’exclusivité chez DC Comics.
