Bestselling writer and original co-creator Benito Cereno (Blood & Thunder, Invincible Presents: Atom Eve & Rexsplode) will bring his beloved character Hector Plasm—co-created with artist Nate Bellegarde (Nowhere Men)—back to shelves with a brand new adventure in, Hector Plasm: Hunt the Bigfoot. This three-issue miniseries will welcome new interior artist Derek Hunter (Pretty Violent, DuckTales, Adventure Time) to the crew and will launch in October from Image Comics.
Hector Plasm: Hunt the Bigfoot sees the return of the popular ghost-hunter—whose backup stories first appeared in early issues of Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker’s Invincible nearly 15 years ago—and gained a cult following with its spooky hijinks.
This new series will also feature covers by Bellegarde, Hunter, Howtoons [Re]ignition artist Tom Fowler, and Invincible series artist Ryan Ottley with The Walking Dead series colorist Dave McCaig.
Hector Plasm has faced all sorts of unquiet spirits in his travels, but a series of murders in a Pacific Northwest town leads him to confront a creature more solid than usual: BIGFOOT! Can Hector track down a beast that doesn’t want to be found, clear his own name, AND save a struggling local business at the same time?
« Of all of my character co-creations, the one I’ve been aching to get back to for the longest time is Hector Plasm, whose stories are the outlet for my love of ghost stories, folklore, and weird fiction, » said Cereno. « The Hector stories I created with Nate Bellegarde are some of the best-loved things I’ve ever done, so I’m incredibly excited to be able to team up with Derek and bring all new Hector adventures into the world. »
Hector Plasm: Hunt the Bigfoot #1 will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 15
