Starlin wrote and illustrated the series with contributions by Al Milgrom, Josef Rubenstein, and Kim De Mulder on inks and Glynis Wein on colors. The eon-spanning space fantasy will be available in three paperback remastered editions beginning in Fall 2025.

C’est du Starlin.
C’est très sympa.
Le personnage apparaît dans des graphic novels avant d’avoir sa série régulière, qui marque le passage d’un ton très sombre (et cosmique) à quelque chose de plus souriant (et plus intime).
C’est très starlinien, donc si on n’aime pas La Mort de Captain Marvel ou Cosmic Odyssey, autant être prévenu.

Cela étant dit, le résumé fourni par le Doc me donne l’impression que seule la série régulière (commencée chez Epic et finie chez First) est concernée par cette réédition.
Si c’est le cas, c’est bien dommage, car Dreadstar apparaît dans le feuilleton « Metamorphosis Odyssey » publié dans le magazine Epic, puis fait son retour dans le graphic novel Dreadstar chez Marvel, tandis que Syzygy Darklock apparaît dans le graphic novel The Price chez Eclipse.
De mémoire, ces trois récits sont en peinture (et j’ai déjà dit combien le travail de Starlin en peinture est saisissant). Mais je crains que la reproduction des planches s’avère compliqué (j’ai le vague souvenir d’une intégrale de Metamorphosis Odyssey en noir et blanc, scanné et lissé à partir des pages publiées…). C’est peut-être pour cela qu’ils semblent ne pas être repris.

J ai repris plaisir à lire de la vo avec l anglais plus soutenu de robinson sur starman.
Ca me manquait de lire en anglais sans que je m en aperçoive.
L anglais mainstream superheroique sur tablette n etait pas du tout rassasiant.
Je me rejouis de choper le five years later de la legion de giffen en fin de mois, shade en juillet et maintenant dreadstar en fin d année.
Dans l attachement aux comics, il y a aussi cette attachement à l anglais, ce qui résout du même coup la question : vo ou attendre vf ?
Un dilemme en moins.
Mon premier comic en VO, Captain America #269, je l’ai eu lors de mon année de sixième. J’ai donc appris l’anglais autant en cours qu’entre les pages des comics. Ma vision est un peu faussée. Mais j’aime cet anglais mainstream dont tu parles. Il y a une dimension « en prise directe » que j’apprécie. Un gars comme Nick Spencer, complètement branché sur l’actualité, l’argot, tout ça, c’est aussi satisfaisant, mais différemment, que l’anglais d’un Neil Gaiman, par exemple.

J ai fait pareil avec les wildcats de lee.
Mais le moment marquant, ce fut de suivre ou lire en vo les titres vertigo : sandman, preacher, invisible, transmet. Et les Moore.
Moi c’était Web Of Spider-man #90, Spawn #3 et Incredible Hulk #396 en juillet/aout 92’. Ma première commande à Dangereuses Visions. C’était noël. J’avais 17 ans. Début de l’addiction.
Je reprenais en même temps la vf, que j’avais brièvement explorée plus jeune dans les années 80.
On est nombreux à être passés par cette docte boutique.
