Ceux qui ont remarqué l’absence des héros du label Wildstorm lors des annonces liées à Rebirth seront heureux d’apprendre que l’un des plus célèbres couples de méta-humains, Midnighter & Apollo, les « Batman et Superman homosexuels », seront de retour dans leur propre chez DC Comics.
Aux manettes, les lecteurs retrouveront le scénariste Steve Orlando, déjà à l’origine de la (courte) série consacrée au Midnighter. L’auteur travaillera pour l’occasion avec le dessinateur Fernando Blanco tandis que son ancien partenaire, l’artiste ACO, est en charge des couvertures.

Le choix de mettre Fernando Blanco à la place de l’excellent ACO est payant. On y retrouve une continuité graphique qui m’est très agréable.
On retrouve cette série "made in action " que j’ai tellement aimé lors de la période DCYou avec ses scrollings mettant en scène le véloce Midnighter. Pour casser un peu de sure sur la série, je dirai qu’Appolo semble en retrait par rapport au Midnighter.
Mais je ne bouderai mon plaisir pour rien au monde.

Fin de la mini série sur les deux amoureux du Wildstormverse.
J’ai trouvé que la série patinait pendant les trois derniers épisodes en enfer. Dans la première série, Orlando faisait voyager Midnighter à travers diverses portes et là, il sédentarise son intrigue en enfer.
je ne suis pas convaincu par cette mini. Peut-être aurait-il du centrer une nouvelle fois son attention nerveuse sur Midnighter?
Par contre niveau dessin, Fernando Blanco fait plaisir et n’a presque rien à envier à ACO.
