Le dessinateur Roc Upchurch ne dessinera plus la série Rat Queens (qui suit quatre héroïnes turbulentes dans un monde d’Heroic Fantasy) suite à son arrestation pour violence conjugale.
Son son blog, l’auteur Kurtis J. Wiebe déclare qu’il n’est: « pas en colère au sujet de cette révélation mais profondément attristé. Quand on travaille avec quelqu’un si intensément sur un projet si personnel, vous êtes bien plus que des collaborateurs, vous êtes des amis proches qui se sentent comme des frères. J’ai beaucoup d’amour pour Roc Upchurch, j’ai passé beaucoup de temps avec lui pendant les conventions et plus calmement lors de diners quand la foule s’en était allée. Shannon et moi avons rencontré sa femme que nous admirons grandement. Malgré tout ce qui est arrivé, je me soucie et j’apprécie Roc et mon seul espoir est que cette famille trouve de l’aide et la guérison en son sein. »
Le nouveau dessinateur de la série Rat Queens sera Stjepan Sejic, bien connu des fans de Top Cow pour son travail sur Witchblade ou encore dernièrement Death Vigil et IXth Generation.
Il succèdera à Tess Fowler qui se chargera de la partie graphique du numéro spécial Rat Queens: Braga #1 avant que la série ne reprenne son rythme de croisière au neuvième numéro.
