SPIDER-MAN & THE X-MEN #1-6 (Elliott Kalan / Marco Failla)

Comme annoncé précédemment, la série Wolverine & The X-Men sera remplacée par le titre Spider-Man & the X-Men dès décembre prochain.

Spider-Man isn’t going to be taking a traditional subject teacher in a classroom role. He’ll be taking on a special class of students for extra counseling and teaching, students who the school may not be totally meeting the needs of–and who Wolverine suspected might be working for the X-Men’s enemies. One of those kids has a secret, and Spider-Man has been tasked with finding out which one. Unfortunately, the rest of the faculty wasn’t informed of this, so they’re pretty unhappy he’s there.

It’s an interesting challenge to write Spider-Man in an X-setting, because it isn’t natural to him. On the other hand, it generates a ton of possible stories and scenes because there are so many elements he doesn’t normally interact with for him to bounce off of. Sometimes literally.
We won’t get a definitive staff/student listing in the first issue, but hopefully we’ll be able to fit it into a later one. The Marvel Universe changes so quickly, it’s hard to keep the listings up to date. I mean, Maggott isn’t on the team anymore? Who knew?! I’m sorry to say there’s been more than one instance where I’ve started to plan a story around a character only to figure out they’ve since left the school/joined Cyclops/become a villain/died/etc.

Young X-Men-wise, I’ll be focusing on Shark Girl, No-Girl, Ernst, Glob Herman, Hellion, Rockslide and Eye Boy – which isn’t that many kids in a class, but it’s plenty of characters for me to juggle around in a scene. They’re all great characters, but a few of them haven’t gotten much time center stage, and that changes now!
Gulp.
Aaron et Bradshaw et ça maintenant. Sigh !
