Après il est aussi coloriste… donc faut vérifier. Des fois on voit plutôt ses coloriages sur des dessins des autres

Intense. Ethan S. Parker & Griffin Sheridan livrent un bon d’épisode, pour un bon lancement de saga alternative. L’on suit une Kara ado’, qui galère en drague à l’école, qui a des difficultés sentimentales et amicales, mais qui adore son cousin, alors que son père et son oncle sont dans de vieux conflits. Elle participe à des exercices en cas d’alerte, elle voit des émeutiers pro-Zod à Kandor, mais son oncle vient lorsque la planète commencer à céder. Les deux couples de parents intègrent Kara et Kal dans une fusée qu’ils font partir. L’engin s’arrête sur une Lune à proximité, et Kara voit sa planète être détruite… mais un monstre apparaît, et elle doit défendre Kal !
C’est intense, oui. Le scénario montre bien la vie d’ado’ de Kara, perdue dans un monde crispé, prise dans un conflit familial, mais attachée à Kal. C’est touchant, bien mené, avec une chute brutale vers la réalité et la fuite. Le récit à hauteur de la jeune fille est fort, marquant, avec des dessins de Rod Reis qui met de bonnes émotions dans ses atmosphères.
Belle surprise intense.
Kara and Kal have lost their ship and, light-years from their destination of Earth, are now forced to seek travel from a busy spaceport. Conviction alone won’t be enough to keep Kara and her baby cousin safe from the vagabonds and swindlers of the planet — and Czarnian bounty hunters put the duo right in their crosshairs. Fortunately for them, there’s a full-spectrum squad of Green Lanterns nearby.

Etrange. Ethan S. Parker & Griffin Sheridan poursuivent un étonnant Elseworld, où Kara a été exfiltrée de Krypton avec Kal. Elle s’échoue sur une Lune en voyant la planète mourir, avec ensuite un représentant de chaque Corps de Lanterns qui arrivent pour découvrir la situation. Les Gardiens refusent de s’occuper des Kryptoniens, et Kara erre seule dans l’Espace avec Kal, puis un Spatioport où elle se fait alpaguer par des Czarniens qui veulent les utiliser et les emmènent sur une planète western. Les Lanterns viennent aider, ça tape dur, le Blue Lantern meurt et Kara récupère l’anneau avec peur.
C’est étrange, oui. L’intervention des Lanterns est très surprenante, elle répond finalement à une situation avec légitimité (= l’explosion de Krypton attire l’attention des « autorités »), mais les Czarniens cow-boys me laissent un peu pantois. Je ne suis pas fan du principe de cow-boys spatiaux, et le rendu est un peu bof, alors que Kara est quand même un peu mise de côté. Les dessins de Rod Reis sont fort jolis et bien travaillés.
Belle ambiance graphique mais scénario étrange.
