THE PALE KNIGHT #1-5 (Peter Milligan / Val Rodrigues)

Mad Cave Studios announced the May 2025 release of The Pale Knight by Peter Milligan and Val Rodrigues.

England, 1349. Sir Hugh de Grey, the Pale Knight, returns from war to find a land ravaged by the Black Death, and his son dying of the plague. When he prays to God to save his son’s life, it is not God who answers—but Death himself. And Death is willing to cut a deal.

“The Pale Knight has a particular, terrible resonance, set as it is in a world suffering from an even deadlier plague that decimated populations in the 1340s,” said Peter Milligan in a press release from Mad Cave Studios. “This book blends my love for Bergman’s iconic The Seventh Seal with my fascination for the Black Death to craft a horror story that feels both timeless and disturbingly modern. Val Rodrigues’s stunning art brings this apocalyptic world to life in a way that perfectly captures the moral torment and supernatural horrors of this tale.”

The Pale Knight #1 arrives on May 28, 2025.
