L’histoire suit un robot géant piloté par des chasseurs de monstres; protecteurs de l’ouest contre les invasions récurrentes des grands singes albinos sanguinaires et des extra-terrestres jusqu’au jour où un puissant vampire débarque dans la région.

J’en suis, Joe R. Lansdale est l’un de mes romanciers favoris.
Il est celui vers qui la famille et les ayants droit d’Edgar Rice Burroughs (un autre auteur faisant partie de mon panthéon personnel) se sont tournés pour terminer une aventure de **Tarzan ** (magnifique).
Et son passage sur **Conan **, le Lone Ranger ou encore Jonah Hex sont de mon point de vue, mémorable.
Sans compter les films que son oeuvre a inspirés.
Bref, un « acteur » incontournable de l’aquarium popculturel mondial (20ème & 21ème siècle).
