Après The Mantle, le scénariste Ed Brisson lance sa nouvelle série régulière The Violent au sein de l’éditeur Image Comics.
En collaboration avec le dessinateur Adam Gorham (Dead Drop), l’auteur raconte les tribulations de Mason, un ancien truand et toxicomane que le passé revient hanter. Bien vite dos au mur, Mason est obligé de reprendre ses mauvaises petites manies pour sauver sa fille menacée.
