Sans surprise mais efficace. Steve Orlando entame le quatrième volume de son run sur Wanda, avec ici une association avec Vision. On poursuit grosso-modo son propos, avec Wanda qui interpelle carrément The-Powers-That-Be pour savoir où est Chthon, qui s’est échappé de son âme où elle le gardait prisonnier. Elle est rappelée à sa boutique de Lotkill par Darcy car une Death’s Door s’est ouverte à côté de leur magasin, comme dans d’autres endroits, et des gens sont attirés par les voix de leurs proches défunts. Mais ici, c’est un groupe de motards adeptes de la Mort, les Dead Wings, qui veulent y passer de force et brutalement. Wanda s’y oppose et est aidée par Vision, venu car inquiet que Wanda « cède » à la Death’s Door vu tous ceux qu’elle a perdus. Elle lui rappelle que lui a aussi perdu des proches (sa femme, son fils Vin), et ça les rapproche même si Vision doit dire au revoir à Viv, qui part en road-trip. Il réfléchit cependant, et a une intuition qui se confirme quand le Grim Reaper l’attaque chez lui. Eric Williams est lié à tout ça et, alors qu’un Vivant passé dans une Death’s Door est tué par son proche décédé (ce qui est le plan), le Grim Reaper brise et empoisonne le corps de Vision. Wanda arrive, Williams part, Vision agonise et dit des mots tendres à Wanda… qui refuse sa mort et tente quelque chose - mais Vision désormais tout blanc et luisant lui demande ce qu’elle a fait !
Pas de grosse surprise mais c’est efficace. Steve Orlando maîtrise vraiment bien Wanda et sa voix-off, et sa prise en main de Vision est bonne. Leur duo fonctionne, avec les prémices d’un retour de flammes, et si j’aime bien, j’avoue que je préférais le côté piquant du duo Wanda & Pietro. M’enfin, ça se lit bien, revoir Grim Reaper est cool, et Lorenzo Tammetta propose des planches agréables et dynamiques.
Une nouvelle bonne prestation d’auteurs qui maîtrisent Wanda, mais j’espère plus de stabilité dans le volume et dans leur rendu après les numéros récents plus faibles.
