Wolverine, Vol. 2 # 04 back cover, by Barry Windsor-Smith.
John Buscema (corner box art) :
Carlos Pacheco (1989) :
Passionnant! Ça rend hommage à Miller, BWS ou Paul Smith, tout en développant progressivement son propre style. Quelle belle surprise de voir tout ça !
Pacheco :
Kurt Busiek : « Art by Miller & Rubinstein, logo rearrangement and paste-up by me, colors by…Paul Becton, I think. Done back in my MARVEL AGE days, on a slow afternoon. »
Haha! Excellent!
Cette couv’ ferait parti de mon top 5 si j’en avais un.
Jim Lee (Watercolors) :
Original cover art by Jim Lee (pencils) and Carl Potts (inks) from Punisher War Journal #7, published by Marvel Comics, July 1989.
Les omnibus VO vont couvrir la période post-Silvestri/pré-Kubert d’ici quelques mois :
Wolverine Vol. 4 - collects Wolverine (1988) #60-75, Wolverine: Inner Fury (1992) #1, Wolverine: Killing (1993) #1, Wolverine: Global Jeopardy (1993) #1, Wolverine and the Punisher: Damaging E vidence (1993) #1-3, Sabretooth (1993) #1-4, Spider-Man/Punisher/Sabretooth: Designer Genes (1993) #1, X-Men (1991) #25; material from Marvel Comics Presents (1988) #109-142, Marvel Holiday Special (1991) #2.
Barry Windsor-Smith Marvel Comics Presents #78 Unused “Blood” Variant Cover Wolverine/Weapon X Original Art (Marvel, 1991). Barry Windsor-Smith’s artwork is highly praised by fans, and highly-sought by art collectors. His covers are sought out even more eagerly! According to information from BWS himself, he produced three versions of this cover. And although this version was not the published one, it was in fact his favorite of the three. He referred to this one as “the liveliest” of them. With its darker and more spontaneous brush work, it is at once both a fierce and sympathetic image of Logan and the torment he endured.
