Wolverine heads to Miami for a rare getaway, only to find danger, old friends, and new enemies waiting in the sun.

Logan is heading someplace warm this October, but peace and quiet were never really in the cards.

Marvel has announced Wolverine: Paradise, a five-issue limited series written and illustrated by acclaimed creator Dan Panosian. The new story drops Wolverine into the heart of Miami, where what begins as a much-needed escape quickly turns into a dangerous adventure filled with familiar faces, deadly threats, and plenty of action. Panosian will be coming off of Marvel Knights: Punisher.

Panosian takes a fully creator-driven approach to the series, handling both writing and artwork as he crafts a new chapter for Marvel’s most famous mutant. Along the way, Logan will cross paths with old allies, including fellow X-Man Dazzler, while confronting a cast of new enemies.

The series embraces a vibrant, retro-inspired atmosphere, placing Wolverine in a setting far removed from the snowy wilderness and dark alleyways often associated with the character.

For Panosian, the appeal of Wolverine goes beyond the claws and healing factor.

“Wolverine is one of the most iconic characters in comics, but what has always drawn me to Logan is the humanity beneath the legend,” Panosian shared. “With WOLVERINE: PARADISE, I wanted to tell a story that embraces the action and danger readers expect while exploring a man searching for a glimpse of hope in a place that promises paradise. Getting the opportunity to both write and draw Logan’s journey has been a true career highlight like no other.”

Marvel has positioned the series as a fresh take on Wolverine that combines high-stakes action with a more personal look at Logan’s search for something better, even if trouble seems determined to follow him wherever he goes.

nop, la couv fait couv de film porno des années 70, Marvel doit sortir de toutes ces merdes. Il faut donner à Panosian un vrai taf. Pas du remplissage.

ca n’enlève rien à ce que j’ai dit. Filez lui un bon scénariste et laissez le bosser sur un truc bien. Pas le laisser faire du caca dans son coin.

Déjà Wolverine, il n’y a aucune prise de risque le perso le plus connu de Marvel, rien que là je dis beurk.

Ensuite ce que dis Panosian

On va avoir un truc ou Logan va se bastonner, mais sera avant tout humain et avec un sens du devoir, mais ça c’est du vu et revu. Ca ne me donne pas du tout envie.

Enfin l’aspect retro, les comics et notamment Marvle n’arrête pas de se baigner dedans, il serait temps de repenser au futur, de le construire et de le travailler, il faut arrêter avec la vibe nostalgie et aller de l’avant.

Je tiens à préciser que je crois fortement que ça sera beau, car Panosian il maitrise, mais je suis très déçu par l’approche et la facilité du truc et j’ai moins confiance en Panosian sur le scénario.

Je me dis qu’en tant que fan de Wolverine qui n’est pas satisfait du personnage depuis trèèèèès longtemps, ce sera peut-être l’occasion de lire (enfin?) un récit dans la veine du Possession d’Alan Davis (à savoir un récit superbe et sans prétention, donc très agreable à lire)…
Ce qui me gène, c’est son petit blouson sans manche avec les petits motifs rappelant son identité…ça me confirme que Wolverine a toujours eu des goûts vestimentaires à chier!
