Spider-Man Versus Kraven the Hunter (1974) :
Il y a de nombreux fan-films non-officiels, comme ceux de Don Glut (voir post 43) qui est ensuite devenu scénariste pour Marvel. Pour Spider-Man versus Kraven the Hunter, Bruce Cardozo, un fan de comics, a tenu à avoir l’approbation de Stan Lee en lui envoyant une lettre pour présenter le projet. Stan lui a alors répondu positivement, à la seule condition que le petit film (d’une durée de 30 mn) soit limité à des projections non-commerciales (il a été montré lors de conventions, la dernière datant de 2005, dix ans avant le décès de Cardozo).
Inspiré par la première apparition de Kraven le Chasseur dans Amazing Spider-Man #15, le court métrage a été réalisé sur une période de deux ans pendant les études de Cardozo à l’Université de New-York, avec l’aide des camarades de sa classe de cinéma expérimental. Une expérience qui a eu droit à un article dans le magazine FOOM publié par Marvel :

Conway & Buscema bouclent la boucle (1976 → 1987) :
« When Spectacular Spider-Man #1 hit the stands writer Gerry Conway and artist Sal Buscema kicked the title off by featuring the C-list villain La Tarantula. After many many years Sal returned as the artist for the book and even later Conway began a regular run on the title. Issue #137 was the first one they reunited to work on since starting the book over 10 years before. To mark the reunion they once more used the Tarantula. »

Scott Edelman : " Of all the comic books I’ve written, it’s the back-up story in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #11 of which I’m most proud. And it’s not entirely because of what’s on the page.
John Romita, Jr. may be a star now, but back in the ’70s he was seen by many as just John Romita, Sr.’s son, and no one would give him a shot for fear it would be seen as nepotism. But I felt that if there’s one thing worse than nepotism, it’s anti- nepotism —not giving work to someone who deserves it out of a fear being accused of abetting nepotism.
And so I made sure that John, Jr. (who ended up being inked by Al Milgrom) got the chance to draw the six-page Spider-Man story “Chaos At the Coffee Bean!”—which has since, thanks to Jr.’s eventual superstardom, been reprinted numerous times.

À revoir ces pages, que je n’ai pas vues depuis bien longtemps, je me dis que la patte de Milgrom est bien lourde, sans doute a-t-il corrigé, ou refaçonné, certaines cases encore un peu vertes.

Pour son troisième jeu vidéo sorti en 1989, Spidey a fait équipe avec Captain America dans The Amazing Spider-Man and Captain America in Dr. Doom’s Revenge!.
