À moins d’une semaine du début de l’event Avengers: Armageddon (qui arbore d’ailleurs sur ses couvertures le « legacy numbering » de la série Avengers), Marvel Comics tease déjà l’après (le très probable relaunch de l’ongoing en amont de la sortie d’Avengers: Doomsday).
Alors en y réfléchissant bien, je me demande si ça ne tease pas plutôt le 4ème numéro d’Armageddon, et tout spécifiquement sa fin qui devrait nous surprendre.
Ah tiens je n’avais pas fait attention.
Avengers: Armageddon #1-5 = Avengers #803-807
Et j’irais encore plus loin, n’aurons nous pas plutôt ce jour l’annonce d’une série de one shot qui s’intercaleront entre le numéro 4 (ou l’on nous prédit une fin d’épisode dantesque) et le 5ème épisode qui concluera l’évent ? Un peu comme Marvel a fait l’an dernier avec Imperial (et les one shot imperial war).
Je serais quand même très etonné que Marvel tease déjà sur la série post Armageddon alors même que n’avons pas eu les sollicitations des 2 dernièrs numéros de la saga.
Ou bien un one shot « aftermath » en novembre (histoire d’avoir le relaunch en décembre).

Je sens que ça va encore diviser. Et pourquoi spoiler avant le début d’ARMAGEDDON ?
Ca spoile que les survivants…
et le fait que le statu quo post armageddon ne sera pas aussi « normal » qu apres ONUD (que j aime beaucoup)..

Carol avec le rôle de rappel aux anciens, ça va crisper, oui.
Jamais été emballé par Wolverine et Daredevil dans les Avengers.
L’enfer sur terre, effectivement. Mais Zdarsky l’avait un peu spoiler dans un des récents podcats.
Beaucoup trop de personnages qui ont une série solo…
Ça ne brille pas par l’originalité… ça risque de rester du street hero…et dans cette optique, ça va être plus "politique » que «cosmique»
Mais est-ce que Marvel peut tenir ça plus de quelques mois ?
Marvel a toujours été l’univers super-héros le plus proche en apparence de la vraie vie. Et WildStorm a osé le post-apo mais ça les a tués aussi car la baguette magique de reconstruction ne peut pas tenir après qu’elle soit déjà passée pour No Man’s Land.
J’ai quand même l’impression qu’on a pas toute la composition de l’équipe.

C’est clairement un pari. Au moins 1 an si je décrypte Zdarsky.
Mais bon courage aux autres auteurs d’intégrer cette nouvelle donne.
Ça sent un autre titre Avengers, genre ”Amazing Avengers”, ou ”Astonishing Avengers”. Avec le film à venir, je ne serai pas étonné de voir plusieurs titres faire leur apparition.
De ce que je comprends, on n’aurait qu’une équipe Avengers.
Avec les années Bendis, Luke et Logan peuvent être considérés comme Legendary Avengers.
Le message est clair en voyant cette composition : tout les recoins de l’univers Marvel serons concernés par ce nouveau statut quo.
Obviously I can’t say too much just yet, but trust me when I say that our goal is to make THE AVENGERS the coolest, biggest book on the shelf. Every issue goes hard and I can’t believe Marvel are letting us do it.
