Pour sa nouvelle collection comics présentée comme « le Marvel du XXIème siècle », le scénariste Mark Millar (Jupiter’s Legacy, MPH) lève le voile sur « Starlight »; une nouvelle mini-série en collaboration avec le dessinateur Goran Parlov que l’auteur décrit comme une rencontre entre « Flash Gordon et le « Dark Knight Returns » de Frank Miller ».
Après 35 ans d’une retraite bien méritée, un vieux héros de l’espace est rappelé par son vaisseau spatial pour reprendre du service.
La sortie du premier numéro de cette mini-série en six chapitres est prévue pour mars prochain.

C’était finalement pas une très bonne idée de supprimer les deux pantins ridicules secoués de spasmes douloureux au premier plan. Parce que là, on voit bien que Cassaday n’a jamais vu d’épée et ne sait pas du tout comment on tient ça…

Je ne pensais pas dire ça un jour, mais voilà un Mark Millar au goût succulent. C’est rusé comme tout, drôle, enlevé, et touchant. La narration est formidable, le dessin d’une élégance céleste (Parlov avait déjà assimilé Buscema, il absorbe Moebius, c’est que du bonheur). Purée, du pur plaisir !
