Vache, quel twist ! J’espère sincèrement que ce n’est pas aussi simple que ce que cela présage (après tout, à une certaine époque, sous Gruenwald ou DeMatteis, le premier Cap qui a été réveillé dans la glace n’était pas le vrai Steve Rogers si je me souviens bien) mais j’ai hâte de voir où ça va.
Du reste, malgré le style pauvre de Sorrentino (qui n’est d’ailleurs pas spécialement inspiré dans la construction de ses planches), l’auteur arrive à battre le fer en donnant à tous les fronts des enjeux forts (mention spéciale à l’apparition de Wilson Fisk - Marvel a de quoi rebondir) malgré quelques retournements expéditifs (ah, tiens, Spidey veut se rendre au capitole, peu importe ce qu’il se passe?).
Je regrette toujours qu’on ne s’intéresse pas davantage au protagoniste principal, figure tourmentée qui hante les pages de ses séries en tirant la tronche et, ce, depuis la série Captain America : Steve Rogers (mon petit doigt me dit qu’on va avoir droit à une double portion). J’aimerais le voir plus convaincu de ses actes et plus pernicieux dans leur réalisation mais, encore une fois, ça prépare probablement le twist à venir.
Pareil pour le deuxième protagoniste de choix, Sam Wilson, qui apparaît comme quelqu’un qui a abandonné le combat (à un tel moment ?!?) alors qu’il a prouvé pendant une vingtaine d’épisodes qu’il était le genre de Captain America à encaisser dans les pires situations. J’espère que Spencer ne va pas l’oublier parce qu’il a encore un grand rôle à jouer pour clore proprement le cycle initié par l’auteur.

Pour ceux qui ont un peu suivi le travail de Nick Spencer depuis ses débuts chez Marvel, le coup du traitre ne devrait pas être une si grande surprise.
J’ai de plus en plus de mal avec cette saga … Déjà, je trouve que les enchaînements ne sont pas clairs.
Du coup, certaines choses passent comme des ellipses alors qu’elles sont racontées dans les numéros sortant la semaine d’après. Ca donne parfois l’impression d’ubiquité à certains personnages …
Un peu brouillon tout ça et on en revient au pire des crossovers (à mon sens) où il te faut aller chercher des pépites d’informations dans X séries pour comprendre.
A côté de cela, on a des scènes redites (red room) d’une série à l’autre malgré le fait que de nombreux trucs passent sous silence.
Je reviendrais peut être sur la série en intégrale quand ils auront une vision globale de ce qui a été écrit et livré.
