C’est le Nouveau Départ (Fresh Start) de Marvel.
En mai 2018, la série Venom sera relancée au #1, avec Donny Cates (Doctor Strange, Thanos…) au scénario et Ryan Stegman (Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, Uncanny Avengers…) aux dessins. L’accent sera mis sur l’horreur alors qu’Eddie Brock devra affronter une menace aussi ancienne qu’incroyablement puissante.
Ryan Stegman : “It’s unlike any foe Eddie, or the Symbiote has ever face. It’s something that’s incredibly old, and unbelievably powerful with ties to not only the symbiote’s dark past but the Marvel Universe itself. This is a horror story thousands of years in the making."
Je suis assez content de voir arriver Donny Cates sur autant de séries, il a prouvé (s’il en était besoin) qu’il avait des idées (sur ses propres séries), j’espère que les editors de Marvel lui laisseront les exprimer sur les leurs.
J’avoue ne connaître de son travail que sa reprise récente de Doctor Strange, que je trouve très bien. C’est un scénariste à qui je m’intéresse, désormais.
J’aime bien ce que je vois (merci), il y a déjà beaucoup de puissance dans ces crayonnées ; qui pourraient presque être commercialisés dans un fascicule comme ils sont là. Ça s’annonce plutôt bien.
On l’aura peut être en VF prochainement … (j’en appelle au Living Database du forum pour confirmer ou infirmer).
Sinon, y a pas un côté Madureira 1ère période X-Men, dans ces pages ? (c’est la trombine et la coiffure d’Eddie qui me fait dire ça)
